Unity Brunch: Prison Pipeline

On October 25th, 2009, the New York chapter hosted a monthly Unity Brunch community forum on the Prison Pipeline and Youth Incarceration.

Speakers Included:

  • Tanisha Douglas- Worked with Children’s Defense Fund as well as on the Cradle to Prison Pipeline Campaign.
  • Omawale Adewale- Executive Director of Grassroots Artists MovEment (G.A.M.E.). Has developed Alternatives To Incarceration (ATI) Programs.
  • Rukia Lumumba- Worked with Public Defenders office in DC. Currently the Director of ATI programs at Center for Community Alternatives.�����������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������
