Mission of the MXGM Student Committee (SC)

Is to reignite black radical politics on college, university campuses and academic settings in this country and abroad. The SC also acts as a network of support for MXGM members attending school to ensure that they are involved and active within MXGM work and dialogue. We work to build a progressive student movement that will workto eliminate oppression upon peoples of African descent/New Afrikans within the United States and abroad. Understanding the historical roll that students have played in the Black Freedom Struggle.

The Student Committee seeks to operate on three levels:

Organizationally - Ensure that younger members are incorporated into MXGM work and dialogue.

Nationally (US Empire) - Extend the organization's work to campuses throughout the United States.

We provide activist student organizations with:

• Logistical, legal and moral support in their struggles over academic and human rights.
• Safe space to meet and share experiences and advice.
• Conferences, panels, and lecture series on topics of interest to the international student community.
• Speakers from the MXGM Speakers Bureau.
