<description>When one speaks to me of torture, i primarily begin to go way back in my memory to the early days of the black struggle when this was as common as putting on shoes. However, no matter the time date or reasons thereof torture is wrong and to quote Brother H.Bell above words &gt;It brings out the worst in us and the best in us; regardless, we must somehow still make it through the day. And in the course of that day, and every day, we must fight our demons, real and imagined. The real ones are plain enough to see. They turn the keys. (But not all the turn-keys are bad, just most of them. I like to think that the decent ones were well brought up by their parents; and that the bad ones, perhaps, didn't receive all they thought they should from their parents and others, and therefore will always feel the world owe them something and that meantime they can do whatever they want. Controlling for greed and ideology -- how else do we explain the pathology of man's inhumanity to man?) SO..

We cannot explain what happens in the souls of man which brings forth what i will call a monster and one allowed to plunder, terrorize, exeecute, by hanging, gassing, shooting, electrocuting, waterboarding and most recently injecting with drugs..All in the name of his JUSTICE (which is really revenge, killing)
In saying this i also often wonder what i can do to help. For years i have made assciates with people who have always fought the good fight. i have a close friend in Ahmed Obafemi, whom i have known for more than 20 yrs, i write letters to our POWs and yet perhaps because i have never taken the initiative to ask what i may do to help in other ways i foind sites and speak my peice.
i watched the country celebrate the most recent African American president in Jan in WDC, and took the ssme pride as others only to realize later that america simply have elected another american president
i have worked with Brother Chokwe, and have found that my African roots go back to the Chokwe tribe of Angola. Today i am a former licenced atty who is retired but am willing to support the efforts as best i can However, i want to do much more
